The Original Scrapbox Contest

I been dieing to have of one the The CraftBox. I seen it on a craft magazine and wanted to order this but it is too much for my budget. But now they made this EZ View Craft Desk. Isn't it amazing and a little affordable. But since it's a contest , why not give it a try. So I entered the contest, the project I entered was the Disney's princess money box I made a while back. I just had so much compliments at the party. And I felt so proud that it was my work and idea. Especially the time I spent brainstorm and making it. It was a lot of work but I was happy making it. I actually share my desk with my boyfriend which has a computer on it and on the right side has a few of my craft things on it but not enough to do my work. I use a fold up small table to do some of my crafting if I need a lot of space I end up doing my crafting on the floor. Most of my crafting supplies are in bins labeled in my closet. It's so much work to put things away in my bins and into the closet. Most of the time I try to do my crafting on the weekend so I have much time to get organize after I'm done crafting. I just like how this desk has a lot of storage space and that glass top makes it so much easier to look for things to organize. I just entered a contest there is the site to The Original Scrapbox.

When I got back I had a Surprise package from Denise. She is so thoughtful to think of me. I comment her about these 3x3 magazine holder a while back and I just adore these, but haven't had the time to make one on my own. So I'll just admire the one Denise gave me. Thanks so much.

Since she was so nice, I wanted to let her know that I truly appreciated and what a Surprise it was. So I made are a little something to Thank her. Since I got back from Japan I made a Kimono card for her that I got from YouTube there's the website http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bIzLD7xwIJM. I had fun making these so I made more and will post them soon.

This Rak is from Jodie. I just love the Cinderella card she made. It so adorable. She also gave me a bunch of images and I can't wait to color them with my new set of Copics. I just met her 2 weeks ago at the GG gathering and she is so nice and funny. She made us laugh talking about her twins, I don't know how she does it.But I'm sure she good at it taking care of them. Thanks Jodie!I'm still working on mines to sent to you.

Things I bought from Japan for Crafting!!!!

So here's a picture I took of all the crafting items I bought from Japan. Just as long as I got my Copics set of pens. I was suppose to get 2 set of the 72 pens but I just got one which was set A in the Copics Ciao. I couldn't shop much as my mother was watch every yen I spend. She said if you really need it then buy it, but I explain to her that there's more than 72 colors. She said one set is enough for now and you can get it next time. I said mom when is next time. She said maybe next year again they might go there for the Aloha Market. We just have to see if my mom will go and I can tell her to get it. Sound like am still a little kid when she tells me what I can not buy. But yes she knows that we have to save some money for my future and for Landen's college funding esp. when things will go up later. So anyway here is the picture of all the craft items I bought. I bought a lot of those Japanese Washi paper. I just think it so pretty the designs on the paper. I also got some Hello Kitty stamps. While we were at the airport in Japan going back to Hawaii. We had 2 hours to spend and sure I shop some more but they didn't have any place that sell craft items. Wish they had. So I bought some mochi and they were delicious it so soft and my family all ready got to it and eat and ate it all. I also bought for Hello Kitty stuff to give out to my family and friends just those charms to put on their cell phone. And while killing time I came across the camera shop where I wanted to get an extra battery for my camera and I came to looking at their camera if it was cheaper than Hawaii and it is. I always wanted a professional big camera since I do party invitation and favors if they like I can take pictures for them at the party too. Also my boyfriend do slide shows. I took some photography classes before. I'm so excite I got the camera and it was only $569 including the memory card and an extra lens. What a deal. Can't wait to use it so I can also start scrap booking the pictures I will take.

Cherry Blossom & Stuff Mushroom

The Digi Shack was having their first challenge over on their blog. I decided to play along since you get to download one of their digi stamp that was part of the challenge. But I didn't realize it was too late to enter when I was too busy that week getting my things together before I go to my trip to Japan. Maybe I'll sign up for this week challenge. Here is the layout and the free digi stamp image to use. Cherry blossom is the image, and the thing about digi stamp is that you can make them any size you want. Check out Digi Shack they have cool digi images that you can order and try out their weekly challenge too.

This is what I came up with.

Since I just love this cherry blossom image I decided to use it for the GlamaGurlz card swap. But a different layout and made it a shaker card. I had to make 5 of these cards. Here it is.

Since I love to cook too I made these stuff mushroom since we had to bring one dish of appetizer or any dessert for the GG gathering.

Thanks for stopping by.

I'm back !!!!!

I just got back from Japan Tuesday afternoon. Boy, I'm still jet lag still getting use to the time difference and since I don't go back to work till Monday. So I been quite busy washing clothes and unpacking. It was so quick how time flies I guess because we were having too much fun a new country and first time being there .So here are some pictures from my trip to Japan that I want to share.
Here's the train that we took to get us around.
Here's how busy the train station is at Chigasaki. Tokyo is more crowded.

Reason for this trip was for my mom's working place. Her boss had paid for our flight and the 3 more staffs. He also paid for the food we ate and our hotels we stay in. In Japan at Chigasaki they had a event every year called Aloha Market so they had a lot of vendors that were selling and promoting Aloha theme stuff. My mom works for Rainbow's Drive Inn and we made and sell Loco Moco and chili bowl with rice. Event was on Saturday and Sunday from 8am -4pm. But on Saturday it was raining very hard so we didn't sell much we end of giving some Chili Moco for free to all the vendors and staff that were working for the event. On Sunday Thank God it clear up and we were sold out of Loco Moco bowl we sold about 300 loco moco and we had 1 pot left out of the 3 pots of chili so we gave it to some of the Japanese workers that help us translate and sell. The Japanese people there didn't really care for chili. I was so tried from standing up all day.

Big Buddha in Kamakura

Hase - Dera Temple at Kamakura
Japan tallest buildings in Tokyo skyscraper (54 floors)

Marriott Hotel in Tokyo (me and my mom shared the room, double bed room cost 23,647 yens which is about $230 a night but we only stay there 1 night the rest of 5 nights we were at Chigasaki Tokyo Inn.

Here are some food we ate. ( I think I gain 5lbs)

Here is some pix of the department stores in Tokyo. It looks like New York city. Forever 21 it had 5 stories high. And Ito-ya http://www.ito-ya.co.jp/ is a store that sells crafting stuff so I went crazy I finally bought 2 set of copics pens one was the 72A set and the other one was there new release Ex-4. I got the 72 set back in Chigasaki it was about $165 and I got the new colors in Tokyo Ito-ya it was about $39.00, it was so hard to shop in front of my mom because it's a lot of money to be spending on pens. And I couldn't stay at the craft store long because they were waiting for me. Ito-ya it was 6 stories high. It was hard to shop around with so little time, I just had to get my copics and that's it. I bought some Japanese Washi paper and got some punches and some stamps from another craft store called Uni-Art somewhere in Chigasaki side. I haven't take it out from my box yet. I'll take a pix of it later.

Thanks for visiting. Hope you enjoy the pictures, doesn't it makes you want to take a trip to Japan. I can't wait to start crafting with my new toys. I need to make a Thank You card for my mom's boss and get a gift card too for all that he did. Thanks Jimmy! Good Night !
