For those who have joined us on last challenge, I hope you guys are having fun with the sketch and inspiration and continue with our challenges. I look forward in your creations.
I really enjoyed this challenge especially with all the bright and great colors. The DP is from DCWV Glitter Flower Dots which I got it from J 's Knicknacks. The image I use to create this card is Catnip from Dandelion Designs and she's carrying a dandelion I added Stickles on it. I use my copics to color this image. The emboss is from Cuttlebug Spots & Dots. I just love the different sizes of the circles and the size of the card. Last thing I did was added ribbon, flower buttons, clear dew drops, and of course All Natural Accents flowers.

A Fun Sunday !!!!!

Hi Everyone! Hope you guys enjoy your weekend. As for me I was busy getting my son ready for school which he will starts this Thursday. Gosh it's so fast how his summer's ending. The night before Sunday, I had a craft day gathering the next day. So of course I had to make something small for those who will be there. Wish I made some Furikake Mix. But I didn't quite planned ahead maybe next time. I made the gals mini magnetic book marker and gave some flowered buttons. Last month I seen this at Kapolani Hospital Gift Shop and it was five dollar something. It so expensive for a small bookmark and beside the design wasn't that great. So I decided to make my own. Here's how it looks like.
Here 's a simple instruction for making this mini magnetic bookmark. Start off with a 2 .5 X 5 piece of card stock or DP which ever you want. Then score it 2.5" landscape. You need 2 magnets sizes are 1 3/4" X 3 3/4" . Glue it in the inside. On the outside you can create whatever you desires. I use a oval scallop, I design it using my cricut, DS, and Mini Monograms cartridge. I don't have the scallop Nestabilities. I need to get that it comes in handy. But I do have the oval. The image I use was a digi image from Nancy Kubo "Aloha Cuties"sets. I have download these couple months ago and finally got to use it again. Aren't they a cutie. To complete it I use some stickles.
Denise had planned this gathering since last month for us to get together and do some crafting. Thank you Denise and your family for letting us use your lovely home for crafting and hanging out. We did a lot of stamping and of course eating too. I was happy to attend last month gathering. This month I got to finally met Nicky, Joni H., Joy, Michelle U.,and Janis. It was nice to meet them. It's always great to meet new people and become great friends with them especially since we all love crafting. It's amazing that we all made RAK's for each other. It felt like Christmas when I received all the RAKs I got from these talented ladies.

Thanks everyone for a wonderful time and I was glad to finally met you guys. I look forward to our next gathering. Good Night!

OCS

Hope everyone enjoy their weekend. This weekend went up so quickly. On Saturday I went to Teri's class we made such beautiful cards using the SU new in colors. The colors are vibrant colors and I love their new polka dot ribbons too. Teri also sold some old SU stamps that were unbelievable prices. I needed more sentimental stamps so I got a lot and Teri was kind enough to give me some extra. Here's a rak I made for Teri. I also made some Furikake Mix for the girls that had attended Teri's class. I made the card using the new blue metallic paper that I got at the Scrapbook expo. The HK image is from Jen she was kind enough to e-mail me some HK image that she wanted to share. Thanks Jen for always giving us the scoops on the freebies and great deals too. I also embossed it with the HK embossing folders, added dew drops, a bling, ribbon, primas, silk flower, a tag, and stickles. The canister I got this cool it at Ross it locks in the freshness. It was $6.99 plus I get discount from my brother's gf. I bought a few, I'll be making more of this as gifts to mail to my friends in the mainland. Inside the canister are some yummy Furikake Mix this time I made it a little different and added Pretzels and some Macadamia Nuts. Here's the recipe. I'm glad she and her family enjoy the snack. To top things off after the class I had this huge headache and I felt nausea. I think it was from the crab we ate the other night for dinner. During the class I called to check on Landen and he was sick he said that he had a sore stomach and that he throw up. My poor baby. There was some traffic from Waimanalo going back home. I had to stop on the side because my headache got so bad, I felt like I was burn up I waited for a few minutes then I started the car and drove. I just had to stuck it in. I was suppose to drive all the way to Kahala mall and check out Pineapple Cove's, I haven't been there and they a sale. I heard that place has all kind of stuff, but my body and head wasn't up to it maybe next time I can actually go there. I'm dying to check out those personal digital page you can create and print out.

This is from Teri's June OSC and my partner was Jayne C. The card is so beautiful she also put a metal butterfly for the embellishment. She add some goodies too. I like that plastic flower thing were you can add water to it. Thanks Jayne.

This next one is from Jamee. She was my partner for July OCS. Wow she so fast I got it last week before they went on her trip. I just adore those Ketto images. I love the colors she use it's my favorite colors ink and brown. Thank Jamee for this beautiful card. I still have minds to make for her. Come and join the fun and sign up Teri's Monthly One Card Swap. It so much fun sharing others your creations.

I also got this award from Jamee a while back. Sorry to post it so late. I'm sending this award to all of you who always take the time to check out my blog and leaving such sweet comments. I really appreciate you folks stopping by.Thank you!

Hello Kitty Canister and Furikaki Chex Mix

I had given these to Denise, Jamee Kyoko, Linda, Dawne, and Nicky 2 weeks ago at Denise's gathering. Here's one I made for Kyoko. I forgot to take a picture of it so I case this from her page. I had use my cricut machine, the Hello Kitty Greetings Cartridge, and All Mix up Cartridge for the font. I also use Vinyl so I could stick the image and letters on the canisters. I got some color Vinyl it was free when I purchase my Cricut Expression on ebay last year. To have the outline of HK face you need to press it under Silhouette one of the options to choose from. Then I just made the first initials of the name who I was giving these to. I would like to share with you folks the recipe for the Furikaki Chex Mix. Enjoy!

Furikaki Chex Mix
Ingredients:
1/4 lb margarine
1/2 cup canola oil
1/2 cup karo light corn syrup
3/8 cup sugar
2 box crispix cereal, or if you want I use 1 box of honey - comb and 1 box of crispix
1 bottle furikake
2 tbs soy sauce
Preheat oven 250 degree. Pour ingredients in a pot expect the cereal on low heat until sugar disolve. Then pour it all over the cereal in a big pan be sure to spray a little PAM cooking spray so it won't stick to your pan. Mix it altogther well then put it in the oven at 250 degress for 1 hour. After be sure to sir it so it won't get sticky and cool off for 20 mins.

A fun Sunday!!!

A day of fun for crafting and meeting new friends. Denise was kindly enough to open her lovely home to us . Talk about how organize she is. I finally got to meet Linda, Kyoko, and Jamee (Denise's daughter). When I got there Nicky already left. I never met her in person yet and I hope to see her at the next gathering. For Dawney, I met her back in March where she had invited me to the Scrapper Jam. We had so much fun talking, eating, and stamping but enjoy most was each other's company and laughter. Denise was full of energy, I wish I was like that. Denise what's your secret and share some of your energy with me LOL. I think all my energy goes to my son, some how he just like to make me exhausted. Gosh. Dawney was kind enough to brought most of her stuff and share it with us to use. She finally got some things done. Kyoko doesn't believe that Dawney is part Filipino. She needed proof and wanted to see Dawney's birth certificate. So funny. Also she got her new house and I can't wait. PARTY over there. LOL. Kyoko & Linda are the funny ones. No Kyoko & Linda you guys did not scare me with your nonsense. It's actually hilarious. Jamee, is so sweet. She actually got some creations done. I think the most from all of us. These are awesome RAKs I got. Please feel free to check out their blog and some of their fabulous creations.
