My project for Anela's birthday

Ok here is the finally project of Anela's first luau. It was on Saturday and it's finally over. I had so much fun creating and being in charge of the invitations, sign in book, favors, CD soundtrack, centerpiece, and the money box. This was my 3rd huge project that I had to do and create. My boyfriend was in charge of the slide show and I thought that since he just started a new job last week we had to make a schedule on using the computer. I had to use the computer Saturday morning due to my cousin miss 1 box filled with the favor jars which was 75 more jars to do. I had to print out more labels and since the party started at 4pm I had to go there early and glue each one. Also that morning I needed two more DS paper for the money box to put on the Right side and Left side. I when to Scrapbook Clubhouse at 9:30am and they had an Easter Sale . You’ll pick your discount at check-out from a basket fill of plastic eggs and in those eggs would have a discount coupon on it either 15%, 20%, 25%, 30%, 35% or 40% and one “golden” egg will have 50% off! I had bought some DS papers and Anime monkey QuicKutz die I just love monkeys. My total was suppose to be around $70 and I end up paying $42 something, I got the 40% coupon. Wasn't that cool wish I bought more stuff but once you get to the register that's it. I was so happy to save some money. Well here are the project I had done for the party and I had so much compliments also my boyfriend Lance for the slide show. He did such a good job. For the sign up book I use Adobe photo shop, I just use the image from the invitation. The size of the sign-in book 7 1/2 by 7 1/2. I use DS paper that I got from Scrapbook Clubhouse. Then I just printed front and back on a white card stock the name and address. For the center piece we decided to use the hula girls from Island Heritage boxes. The hula girls images are so beautiful. Then we stuff it with red & green candied popcorn from Samurai snack shop in Aiea, then added 2 Hawaiian Host Macadamia nuts travel size bag , and finally the CD's I made from the Lilo & Stitch soundtrack. For the money box I first stray paint it blue then I decorate with my sizzix tropic flowers folder which was for the Hibiscus and the Plumeria. I printed some images from Nancy Kubo Hula Chick Graphic digital image that I download last month and Lilo and Stitch image, and also a picture of the birthday girl Anela. Then I cut on some wave and the ocean. I also for the sand I actually put real sand on it to make it look real. Now that's done I can't wait for my next big project which will be my nephew's first birthday in September. Hope you guys like it. Thanks for visiting.
